How to Disable File Sharing Programs
Please use the following links to find instructions for disabling uploads in your Peer to Peer File Sharing Program. Please note that Cogeco Cable cannot provide support for the following programs beyond these instructions.
Audiogalaxy
Disabling File sharing:
Audiogalaxy does not allow users to modify the upload settings and requires you to specify shared folders where any downloads or uploads will be stored. The result is that any files you download are automatically shared for upload, as this option cannot be disabled.
To close the program completely:
Once the program is closed, it will not remain running in the background on your computer. Closing the program will terminate any file transfers for that session.
To prevent the program from launching at startup:
This program does not have built-in options which enable it to load automatically at startup. Therefore the program will not load unless a user opens it.
